印度喜马偕尔邦暴雨已致逾50人死亡

中新社北京8月15日电 新德里消息：印度北部喜马偕尔邦首席部长苏克温德·辛格·苏库当地时间14日晚表示，在过去24小时里，暴雨引发的洪涝和山体滑坡等灾害已造成该邦超50人死亡。

《印度时报》援引苏库的介绍说，最近的暴雨致该邦遭受“前所未有的悲剧”。在50多位遇难者中，有14人死于首府西姆拉的山体滑坡。目前还有逾20人受困，因此死亡人数可能进一步增加。

报道称，8月15日是印度独立日，受灾情影响，苏库宣布喜马偕尔邦不会为独立日组织任何文化节目。苏库在接受采访时还呼吁人们远离河流和地质灾害多发地。

据新德里电视台报道，印度内政部长阿米特·沙阿表示，印度全国救灾应急部队正在该邦展开救援行动。此外，喜马偕尔邦有752条公路受暴雨引发的相关灾害影响而关闭。

《今日印度》等媒体报道称，当地气象机构表示，8月14日至17日，喜马偕尔邦的一些地区仍有暴雨、雷击天气。暴雨最近也袭击了北阿肯德邦，已造成4人死亡、9人失踪。

每年6月至9月是印度的季风雨季，其间暴雨天气频发，洪水、泥石流、山体滑坡等灾害时有发生。(完)
